Convention Resolution
On this historic opening day of the First National Convention on Students’ Quality Circle- 2005 (1st NCSQC 2005) held on 26th -28th October 2005 at St. Xavier’s Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, Nepal, weagreed to form a governing board for the Nepal chapter of the World Council for Total Quality and Excellence in Education (WCTQEE- Nepal) in presence of Dr. Vineeta Kamran, Executive Director of WCTQEE, Mr. P. C. Bihari, Executive Director, WCTQEE, Mr. A. M. M Khairul Bashar, Director General, WCTQEE- Bangaladesh and Prof. Dinesh P. Chapagain, Director General, WCTQEE- Nepal, with the following terms and conditions.
1. The objective of the board will be
1. To coordinate the activities of the head office of the World Council at India and Council at different countries,
2. To promote activities of students’ quality circle as an integral part of the Total Quality Management in academic institutions in Nepal, and
3. To work as governing body in Nepal to inculcate value and quality education in different parts of the country.
2. The major activities of the board shall be
1. To organize a national forum for SQC in Nepalese academia,
2. To organize the national Conventions,
3. To acquire, prepare and supply resource materials required for promotion, and
4. To advocate for policy formulation and implementation for promotion of SQC as co- curricular activity at schools in the country.
3. The governing board members shall consist of following
1. Prof. Dinesh Chapagain, WCTQEE – Director General, Nepal
2. Fr. Lawrence Maniyar, S. J., Catholic Schools, Nepal
3. Mr. Narayan P. Sharma, Budhanilkantha School
4. Mr. Anil Kedia, DAV Sushil KediaBharati School
5. Mr. B. N. Sharma, Children’s Pradise School
6. Mr. Narayan Pradhan, KU Highn Schoo
7. Mr. Chandra Chhetri, Facilitator, WCTQEE, Nepal
4. The governing board of the WCTQEE- Nepal shall formulate a detail strategic policy, work plan and programmes to achieve within six months. Mr. Narayan Pradhan shall act as secretary.
